In order to maintain a strong profile in the Capitol, doctors of optometry must be able to elect and support those who promote the profession of optometry in the Legislature. In that effort, COA will be hosting a fundraising event benefiting the California Optometric Association Political Action Committee – Cal-OPAC. This fun VIP Brewery Tour, to be held in Sacramento on November 5, 2016, will include stops at three breweries, with lunch being served at one of them, as well as tastings on the bus. The party featured a delicious menu handpicked for us by Dr. Taylor Tran that included sushi, prime rib and desserts! After some lively black jack gaming we raffled over $300 in gift cards, with our grand prizes including a GoPro and a complementary stay at the Hotel Valencia.
