Job Description:
 We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate is someone with expertise in general and medical optometry. We are looking for someone who provides a customized prescription that is applicable to the patient’s chief complaint and lifestyle, is well versed in standard and specialty contact lens fitting (myopia control, scleral lens, hybrid lens, RGPs) and excels in specialized medical conditions like glaucoma, dry eyes, keratoconus, myopia control, other red eye and retinal diseases. You will work closely with our experienced support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience from check-in to follow-up care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and ocular health.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions such as glaucoma, dry eyes, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus and other corneal ectasias.
  • Prescribe myopia control options like MiSight, Ortho-K and Atropine.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids based on patients' needs.
  • Interpret data from OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, ORA, Fundus Photography and Topography, educate patients on the associated conditions and create an appropriate plan for treatment and management
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed for complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) TLG degree with current CA state license.
  • Ortho-K and MiSight certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
