Open Position: Temporary Optometrist (San Francisco, CA)

Practice Description
We are seeking a friendly and skilled medical optometrist to provide temporary coverage at our busy, well-established practice while our current OD is out on leave from March 2, 2026 through April 16, 2026. This position offers a great opportunity to work with a supportive clinical and administrative team in a professional and patient-centered environment.

Position Description
Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical optometry services
• Manage ocular diseases and perform follow-up care as needed
• Collaborate with our optometric technicians and front desk staff to ensure excellent patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Manage pre- and post-operative cataract surgery patients
• Perform cataract surgery and refractive surgery consultations

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Current California Optometry License in good standing
• Experience in medical optometry or a similar clinical setting preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Compensation & Details:

• $575 per day (per diem)
• Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
