Mission Statement
The Bay Area Optometric Council serves as a network and informational resource for member doctors that form its core. Originally conceived as the Bay Area Optometric Coordinating Council, the organization serves as a repository of ideas and dialogue between optometric societies in the Bay Area.
The BAOC serves its membership of over 700 optometrists from 5 local optometric societies. The Board of Directors includes presidents of the Alameda & Contra Costa Counties, Santa Clara County, San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Redwood Empire Optometric Societies. Representatives from the California Optometric Association and UC Berkeley School of Optometry also regularly participate.
Whether you are a current society member, prospective member, or optometric student, we hope you find the BAOC as a valuable resource.
