BAOC-Berkeley Mentorship Program (BBMP)
Originally founded as the BAOC Externship Program in 1983, the BAOC-Berkeley Mentorship Program pairs member doctors with UCBSO students. The program seeks to inspire the next generation of optometrists to become involved in organized optometry and develop skills to become our future leaders.
The program runs each academic year from October to April. The time commitment is low and flexible, and the experience is rewarding!! Mentors and mentees are encouraged to attend the opening and closing reception, and to meet at least twice in-person any time during the program’s duration.
