The Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

Our goal is to recruit an outstanding colleague with strong interests in ocular disease, ocular biology, and therapeutics, or a related research area relevant to the eye or vision.
The Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Science has several clinical facilities that serve a large diverse patient population, a clinical research center, and many laboratories in the Vision Science graduate program conducting research in optics, ocular biology, ocular disease, translational and clinical research, molecular and cell biology, microbiology and infectious disease, perception, neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and computational vision.

The successful candidate will also have opportunities to be considered for membership in other programs across the UC Berkeley campus, including the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, the Center for Emerging and Neglected Diseases, and the Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics.
