A busy ophthalmology, cosmetics and optometry practice is seeking an optometrist for our Monterey and Carmel Valley offices. Avanti Eye (avantieye.com) is a busy practice with three locations, Monterey and Carmel Valley offices and Soledad California. Avanti Eye will empower you to provide comprehensive eye exams in one of the most beautiful areas in California. Our Optometrists manage a variety of anterior and posterior ocular disease to their comfort level including diagnosing diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, diagnostic macular and retinal disease, removal of foreign bodies, and offering comprehensive examinations and contact lens fitting, including scleral opportunity to learn post-operative ophthalmic care and cosmetic care is available if there is interest. The practice is currently made up of 2 Optometrists and 2 Ophthalmologists. Work Location: In Person I'm in need of a part time doctor 2-3 days a week. Tech will do pre-testing and Optos.
We are located inside of Costco in the Antioch/Brentwood Bay Area. Hours weekdays are 10 - 6pm with last patient at 5:20pm. Saturdays are 9:30 - 3:30pm with last patient at 3pm. Position overview Salary range: Salary will be commensurate with experience. The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. The pool will remain in place for one calendar year; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must reapply. The responsibilities of the health science clinical faculty members include teaching optometric student clinicians in the patient care environment, performing direct patient care when student clinicians are unavailable both on or off the UC Berkeley campus, and/or teaching optometric student clinicians the basics of eye examinations sequence in the pre-clinical environment. They may also perform service to the school and community through education or various outreach programs on or off the UC Berkeley campus.
